Monday again – is it just me or is time even more fleeting than usual? All the more reason to make the best of every day – love your loved ones, find peace of mind, travel to broaden your horizon, dress to impress, and keep a solid watch on your wrist to remind you just how transitory time really is.

When I was a kid, I kept a diary – now I document my doings on Instagram. Bits and pieces of what’s been going on lately – food is an absolute necessity, as you can tell.

… The Galapagos Islands.
A collection of volcanic islands sprayed across the Pacific Ocean, renowned for the many endemic species and absolutely breathtaking landscape both above and under water, making this a diving hot-spot. Charles Darwin himself stopped by in the 1830ies; his observations and collections from this family of islands contributed to his theory of evolution by natural selection, and later earned one of the islands the honor of his name (Darwin Island). Unique species include land iguanas, the Galapagos tortoise, sea cucumbers (?), the blue-footed booby, sea lions, and many many more.
Feeling wobbly, I’m spending today at home with a running nose buried in my newest companion; one helluva paeds book. Just on the other side of my window the sky is a faint blue, birds are chirping, and buildings are bathed in the weakest of sunlights – the kind that comes with the early promise of spring <3
Today I’m craving bright travel bags, a room with a (proper!) view, a pet elephant, and a pool – preferably furnished.
It’s been a minute since this Aussie babe has graced the blog with her effortless style and grace – so I figured a monday dose was what we all needed. If one could bottle her coolness and sell it by the liter – boy oh boy.
I survived an intense week, but there’s no resting on your laurels. Tomorrow I start my pediatrics rotation, and even though I could have used an extra few days to lay around and watch old seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, I’m super excited to learn how to a be a great doctor to kids. Until then – back to oozing and snoozing!
